LeRoy Edward Burns

LeRoy Edward Burns, age 84, of Orfordville, WI passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, July 18th, 2025.  He was born Nov. 25, 1940, in Richland Center, WI the son of Glen and Blanch (Sopher) Burns. He graduated from Blue River High School In 1960.

He married Patricia L. Persinger in 1960, together they had 4 children:  Roy, Bruce, Brian, and Brinda.

He shared the love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren.  He retired with over 40 yrs. from the Beloit Corp.  

He is survived by his children: Bruce and Brian Burns, Brinda (Kevin) Shea, his 9 grandchildren: Stacey, Nicole, Cortny, Josh, Shia, Brook, Kimberly, Dalton and Triston, along with 8 great grandchildren.

His siblings: Ida Mae Alf, Loretta (Don) Allen, Leo Burns, Dixie (Jim) Walls, Glen Burns Jr.

He was preceded in death by: his son Roy, parents Glen and Blanch (Sopher) Burns, brother Leland Burns and sister JoAnne Basting (Burns). 

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday Aug. 23rd at Central Christian Church in Janesville from 1:00-4:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers you may put in a donation to Mercy Hospice of Janesville or Central Christian Church of Janesville.
