Ann S. (Kemzura) Brown

Our beloved mother, Ann S. Brown, died on October 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 84. Ann was born on April 11, 1940, in Rockford IL to Tony and Marcella Kemzura. Raised by an aunt, Ann grew up with her cousin Martha (Hobbs) Manley who lovingly referred to Ann as “Sis”. Ann graduated from Rockford West (IL) in 1958.  She married Robert Delos Brown at The Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL on November 28, 1970.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown, and is survived by her daughters, Dena Brown (Brodhead) and Linda King (Evansville), and her granddaughters, Anna Hessong (Loves Park, IL) and Amanda Ohman (Brodhead).  Ann enjoyed dining out, quilting, puzzling, garage sales with her dear friend Teena White, and watching her cooking shows.

Ann requested no services. Grace-Bifulk Funeral Home in Albany is handling her cremation.
